Week 7 :: 52 week – Abandoned and Discarded

During week 7 I caught a virus that left me in a bit of a creative rut. It’s hard to come up with unique ideas when you are feeling so sorry for yourself. Boohoo. However, one beautiful day I had to get out of the house and give Stella some much needed exercise. We took a walk through a local park and then drove south until I found an abandoned barn.

When I posted it to the Flickr group most of the comments were of the “I want to see it in color” sort but I did see it in color and liked the black and white much better. It would have been nice to get up closer but that would have been trespassing.

I do hope you are feeling much better now! Photos of abandoned barns always seem so melancholy to me….like another way of life passing on. This photo is beautiful and expresses that perfectly.
