Rock Painting

Another fun and crafty kid activity was our version of Marble Painting which I found through The Crafty Crow. Since we could not locate any marbles we looked around outside for the roundest rocks that we could find. I put a piece of paper in the bottom of a shoe box and let the kids choose two acrylic paint colors. I gave them a little dab of each plus a little bit of sparkle paint. They put the top on the box and shook it like crazy.

G-man chose red and blue for today’s holiday, 4th of July!

Even the rocks came out pretty.

Then from either Design Mom or The Crafty Crow I found this idea from Secret Agent Josephine. I cut up the red, white and blue design and pasted it on greeting cards for three birthdays that fell around the 4th. The one on the right was from a watercolor painting that I had made.
