Make it Pink

Most people know that October is breast cancer awareness month.  Last weekend we participated in a fundraising walk that was both inspiring and humbling, inspiring seeing all the people that had gathered and humbling to see so many lives that breast cancer has touched.  We walked in support of a friend and a relative.  People really got their pink on.

Even dogs got into the spirit.

It was a gorgeous morning and a lot of money was raised.

Earlier in the month I was inspired to create something pink after reading about a fundraiser on West Coast CraftyCraftstylish is hosting a  Make it Pink challenge with donations going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  All you need to do is post a handmade item and they will make a donation.  Luckily I had just purchased a few gorgeous lampwork beads with pink swirls.  This was my submission:

You can also find it for sale on my Etsy page, Rejardin.
