Picture Summer Day 3: Getting Centered


There are certain subjects in our images that warrant being front and center. Although strong composition often comes from placing the main subject off-center, there’s a perfect balance just waiting to be achieved when you place your subject in the center of the frame. Today, frame your subject with the poetry of symmetry.


I came up with the daylily idea early in the day and then, later, I made a batch of strawberry daiquiris (an effort to center myself) and was inspired to plop a few blueberries on top.
