So Subtle

It’s easy to focus on the bold strokes of color from Mother Nature’s pallet but what about the subtle signs of beauty that long to be noticed? Even the slightest signs of color can make a strong statement, albeit in a totally different tone. Pay attention to the understated blushes of summer and celebrate a more restrained expression of the season today.

My interpretation was a bit of a stretch from the assignment. I took a lot of photos, over 100!, until I found the subtle and unexpected. These two tiny blossoms were blowing in the wind just below the larger flower and were attached by the silk of an insect. If I hadn’t been laying on the ground taking photos of the larger flower I would never have seen these subtle blossoms.
