Picture Summer Day 21: Spacey

Acorn couple

Allowing for excessive negative space can be a positive when it comes to creating an interesting and unexpected image. Try filling your viewfinder with lots of space, your subject only taking up a fraction of the frame.

I’ve been walking Stella quite a bit and inevitably something goes in her mouth. Frequently it’s an acorn which with her being a puppy and all I’m afraid is a choking hazard so I’m constantly swiping them out.

Acorns in puddle

Another acorn couple that I found in a puddle last week.

  1. I like shot #2, especially for the reflection. It is a good thing puppies eventually outgrow their bad habits or they might have a difficult time making it to adult doghood! 😉
