Turquoise trapeze earrings in the shop
New, in the shop Rejardin.
Dyed salmon pink these turquoise discs are suspended as if on a trapeze of sterling silver wire.
The stones are chalk turquoise, which is usually lacking in color and is primarily white with the characteristic matrix veining. Like a lot of genuine turquoise, chalk turquoise is stabilized to strengthen it and since it lacks much color, chalk turquoise is a perfect candidate for dyeing.
Each earring measures 2 1/4″ in length.
The above pair was made for a gift. The turquoise in this stone is dyed what I consider to be the color of curry. Now I’ve got a craving for Indian!
I’ve made other pieces of jewelry that I will be adding to the shop soon.
