Picture Fall: The Quintessential Fall
Welcome to the first day of Picture Fall. There is a lot to look forward to and a lot to anticipate this time of year, that’s for sure! But, more than anything, we are going to spend the next 30 days enjoying the here and now with our cameras to help us stay focused (so to speak).
As we begin our journey, let’s start with the most obvious symbol of the season, the fallen leaf. Not unlike the blooms of spring, the leaves of fall are uniquely compelling, each different in their own way. Spend some time studying the leaves that have already begun to fall and capture one that stirs your sense of the season.
We’ve had an especially rainy week, Mother Nature is trying to make up for the complete lack of rain this summer. The rain let up just long enough for me to go outside and capture this green leaf against the fall colors of the grass.
I like this: sharp in parts, but soft and light throughout.
This picture of yours inspired me! I went outside this morning and the light was gorgeous. I saw some leaves with pretty droplets. I haven’t checked on the big screen yet to see how they came out.
That’s what I like best about this class… the inspiration that comes from seeing what everyone else comes up with… it drives me to think really hard about how to get that unique shot. There are so many more people taking the class now it’s hard to get through all the photos. Funny how we both posted our shot at almost the same time.
You’ve inspired me too! You should make a Flickr group!!
Ad, I know you have a lot going on but you should really take this class. It’s really helped me to take it up a notch or 10 with my photography.
I’m sure it’s on your blog, but do you have a linky-poo?
