A whole lotta Stella
Seems Stella has made her way into a lot of my photos so far in 2012. If you aren’t a fan of dogs my apologies.
Seems she’s also made it into my heart.
What!? You say? You’ve had her almost two years!
That’s just the way it works with me. She’s gone from a burden… chewing kids toys, limiting my time away from the house, biting and chewing all of us… to now being a favorite companion. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved her but now I really really like her.
I remember the same thing happened with Logan who we had for 17 1/2 years. And, really, if I’m honest it happened with my kids too. Once the physical challenges of the first two years were behind us we could really enjoy each other, I could really enjoy them.
It also helps that she’s such a willing companion for my photography habit.
In this shot I was using the tripod and 10-second timer. I ran to position myself and she joined in the fun, even turning around to look toward the camera.
Another version in black and white (I was playing with the rule of thirds) and you can see her in the distance still running. At some point she turned around wondering why I had stopped.
If you aren’t a fan of dogs just be thankful that you don’t follow me on Instagram where there’s almost always a daily photo of Stella.
Just look into those eyes, how can you resist?
Stella is an AWESOME dog! Feel free to torture us with photos of her ANY TIME!! 🙂
Aw, thanks! She is an awesome dog. We got lucky again!
There is no resisting those eyes. What a sweetheart.
The shadow picture is darling. 🙂 Cute cute!
I’m not a dog person (or cat person for that matter), but I still love your photos of Stella. Here AND Instagram! 🙂
i love her & all your images here, the one in the window is my favorite, now i have to find u on instagram? 🙂
I’m a huge dog person, so the more Stella pictures, the better. 😀
She has such soulful eyes. So photogenic! 😀
I love all these shots, but the one of her paws with the beautiful blue background is my fave!! You need to print that puppy (no pun intended) big!
I like pictures of dogs, I adore them ! More please ! She have beautiful eyes. My favorite pic is the fourth from the bottom.
More Stella!! I know just how you feel – my dog makes her way into a fair few of my shots as well. Gotta love them – they’re totally worth it.
So cute! I love these shots (but then you know what a dog person I am!). The shadow picture is really cool. I think it is nice that you can trust Stella to be out with you without a leash. I don’t think I could trust my two to pay attention to me if they saw something they wanted to chase. I recognize your location in on of those photos as the place we first met – and Stella was the reason I recognized you! 🙂
What the heck are you apologizing for??? Please don’t apologize for your love of your Stella, I can understand the love because of Toby. And I got a giggle out of your admitting to liking your children more as they progressed out of the “needy” times. So true for me as well.
Great shots; she’s a beautiful pup!
what a sweetie! i love taking my dog on photo walks too.
nobody can resist!!
